We’ve been overpaying for charter school tuition for 25 years and its high time for the state legislature to fix it. How much are we spending on charter school tuition? For the 2021-2022 school year, our 500 districts paid over $2.6 billion in charter tuition — with $1.6 billion going to brick-and-mortar charters and just over $1 billion to cyber charters.
